“Creating a space where all are
welcome to be their true selves.”
Hello! I'm a long time ICU RN who is adding some peace and joy back into life's balance by teaching yoga and playing the handpan. I also make wonderful syrups using natural ingredients, mostly from my own back yard. The black walnut syrup is absolutely amazing and the best seller on Etsy!
After practicing yoga regularly for over ten years, it became clear to me that it was time for me to share all the wonderful things I've learned in my classes with others and I obtained my 500 hour yoga teaching certification. I have also gotten my certification as sound therapist and can offer either singing bowls or the handpan for a soundbath experience, both of which blend yoga, breathing exercises and music. Let me know if you are interested in giving it a try!
It's been my pleasure to focus on teaching private yoga lessons and design classes tailored to the individual's specific needs. These include a variety of short term and long term physical challenges like injuries, living with diabetes, pre-op and post-op changes, hormone therapy and long covid symptoms. Yoga can also help with emotional and psycho-social challenges like anxiety, stress relief, anger management, caregiver burnout and so much more. I especially like to teach yoga to people who do not feel comfortable learning in traditional public yoga classes and I love creating a fun, safe and comfortable place where they can be themselves and explore their own personal growth with confidence. In addition to private lessons, I also volunteer every other week teaching chair yoga at the local senior center. I love seeing how they rise to the challenge each time! As I prepare for these classes, I post them online for everyone to enjoy and hopefully find benefit from.
(1:1 Zoom classes are also popular, and I am occasionally available for workshops and as a substitute teacher for all-levels or basics classes.)
